This piece of my original hand embroidery is framed. Solid wood 5" x 7" frame with glass and mat, without the frame the piece itself measures approximately 3.5" x 5.5". Frame is 1"+ deep and can stand on a shelf or hang on a wall.
This piece is hand-embroidered using 100% wool yarns from Jagger Yarns in Sanford, Maine and a patchwork of Harris Tweed.
Hand-stitched using traditional hand-embroidery techniques. Colorful, modern designs. Inspired by nature, Scandinavian design, traditional folk art and the Maine landscape.
Every original piece of work for sale here in my online shop is handmade. I make each piece from start to finish in my Maine workshop. Each piece is carefully hand-embroidered using traditional embroidery stitches and techniques – I never use an embroidery machine. I design, cut, hand-embroider and sew everything myself, one piece at a time. Each finished piece is unique, a special, hand-crafted one-of-a-kind original.
